Princess Kate has lots of support from this royal: ‘Tower of strength’

Princess Kate, along with other British royals, attended the Remembrance Sunday service last month. At the time, many observant viewers noticed the Princess of Wales receiving a lot of support from Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh, who placed an encouraging hand on Kate’s back.

During her preventive chemotherapy, Kate has received a lot of support from her husband, Prince William and other royal family members. During the service last Sunday, it was already noticeable that Kate and Sophie are very close. Royal biographer Claudia Joseph revealed that Sophie has been a “rock for the Princess of Wales.

Special bond

“I’m sure Sophie has been a rock during Kate’s cancer diagnosis and will be there for her at the other end of the phone when she needs a call,” Claudia Joseph said. The two also live incredibly close to each other, so they will often visit each other.

During Remembrance Sunday, Sophie placed an encouraging hand on Kate’s back. As usual, the Princess of Wales, along with the Duchess of Edinburgh, watched the service from above on the nearby balcony. Sophie and Kate were spotted in deep conversation prior to the two-minute silence.

Mentor

When Kate married Prince William in 2011, Sophie became “a mentor of sorts for her,” Claudia revealed. Although Meghan declined Sophie’s offer to mentor her in life as a royal, Kate graciously accepted the proposal. “She has found Sophie to be a real confidant and sounding board and they have developed mutual respect and an unbreakable bond,” Claudia said.

In addition, the Princess of Wales and the Duchess of Edinburgh are often spotted giggling. “Whether it’s the Trooping the Colour ceremony or Royal Ascot, they are often photographed smiling in each other’s company.”

“At Royal Ascot, in 2017, they showed that they shared a sense of fun when Sophie leaned forward to kiss Kate on the cheek and was pushed toward her, causing the couple to burst into laughter,” Claudia shared.

Supported by family

In addition to Sophie, it was revealed that King Charles is also very supportive of the princess. Charles, like his daughter-in-law, Kate has been diagnosed with cancer. It seems that the relationship between the two has grown stronger during this difficult time.

The two underwent treatment around the same time in January. They reportedly gave a lot of support to each other. Sweet!
